EDMILSON BOTELHO
Edmilson da Cruz Botelho was born in São Tome and Principe and always lived in a dance environment and started dancing some of African and traditional dances of his country: usôa, puíta, funaná, kadance (kizomba) and semba in a dance group of his uncle, the Musicdance group.

At his schoolages , Michael Jackson "King of POP" became his idol and he liked dancing for his classmates in school the pop style, imitating him. He also idolized another pop world singers and dancers such Usher, Ne Yo, Omarion, Chris Brown, Justin Timberlake, that awakening his greatest interest in POP style.

In 2010, at 17 years old he came to Portugal, Porto, to study and graduated as Equipment Design Variant Technician in 2013 at EPCEP school. During this time of formation, many people noticed his joy while dancing at school, which also influenced some of his classmates and the school's director, Dr. Maria João, who introduced him to Lindy hop and to the founder of Lindy Hop in Portugal, Mrs. Abeth Farag in 2012.

In 2012 he started taking Lindy Hop classes at Swing Station School and soon became part of the animation team. In 2014 he was in formation to be a teacher and at the same time he started teaching Lindy Hop.
After starting lindy he couldn't help falling in love with all the music and dance related to the era of Jazz and blues.

Edmilson dances blues and has won the prizes in many international contests. His style is a combination of expressive moves and musicality that outlines the charm of the music.
